Lauren’s F.I.T training has been transformational for me.
I went to see Lauren for help recovering from recurring back injuries and pain. This was stopping me doing a job I loved and I was missing out on fun with my family. Something had to change.
At my first session with Lauren, I was cautious to even get down on the ground, I felt weak and my body was shaky. My base level to begin was low. Lauren took the time to understand my injury, and was frequently checking in, making sure I was comfortable with every movement. Over a course of three months, Lauren has coached me to steadily build up my strength, body awareness, balance and posture.
The program of exercises has steadily developed, keeping it interesting and challenging me just enough each time.
Lauren’s knowledge of the body, muscles and importance of the core have meant that her observations, explanations and slight tweaks as she coaches me maximise the effectiveness and safety of each exercise. I hear her voice throughout my day, with gentle reminders to “reset”. I fit in the exercises she has taught me when and wherever I can – a little or a lot depending on the day.
My pain has come back once since I have started training with Lauren. With the lessons I had learned I felt more in control, my pain was less and my recovery faster. Over a course of three months my focus has shifted from recovery to strength. I am grateful for the guidance I have been given to come this far. And as Lauren frequently encourages me, this is only the beginning.
